Well, excellent news. I heard from New Horizons. Originally they had no positions open. So I went in despite that fact and talked to them, stressing the fact that I thought I would do really well working there. They had a position open!
Well, sure enough, that position had already been filled, but now the director of New Horizons really likes me. She said for me to give her a month. Well, we really didn't have a month. Bummed out as you can imagine, I began to look for other options. She called less than a week later at my churches mens retreat and said that she went straight to the super-head-hauncho, restructured the employment protocol, and offered me a job. Hopefully I'll start next week. I'll be doing such tasks as answering the phone and initiating the preliminary interview with our clients, getting a "feel" for what they are like and what they are looking for, and distributing the case loads between the case managers. I will also be handling the paper work of the therapy sessions and filing the appropriate documents for the New Horizons and S.T.A.R programs (two programs who are affiliated in this agency), among various other administrative tasks.
I want to personally thank all of you who prayed for me specifically and I want you to know that I am personally praying a ten-fold blessing in your lives.
